Our Country's Flag has 13 stripes.
Betsy Ross made the first flag.
Ben Franklin wrote and printed Poor Richard's Almanac.
The 3 main parts of our government are the executive, legislative, and judicial branch
Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4,1776.
The American Revolution ended in 1781
George Washington led the American Army in the American Revolution. He also led the meeting in which the constituion was written.
The Bill of Rights was added to the Constitution in 1791.
How Ben Franklin made a difference. (Inventions etc.)

Students will need to be able to describe the Boston Tea Party, The Shots Heard Around the World, the significance of Benjamin Franklin, and the importance of the declaration of Independence. (We covered some things in class that the book did not cover. Kids have had a great time learning about the History of America.)


No MATH we had a test today. Just practice facts.
